"Landmarks of connection” exhibition: Art meets LAMDA Development

Our vision is to create urban spaces that reshape the big city lifestyle. This challenge poses fascinating questions: How do people perceive our projects? Given that each individual experiences the new urban environment through their unique personal lens, how can we capture these diverse perspectives?
Driven by innovation, we conceived an entirely new idea: Initiating an artistic dialog, we invited 7 Greek photographers to portray LAMDA Development’s projects through their lenses. Their portrayals led us to the creation of the LAMDA Development Universe photographic album. Based on the album’s content, we organized the "Landmarks of Connection” exhibition.
When spaces become landmarks of connection
This photography project aimed to explore how spaces transform into landmarks of connection. How do iconic buildings and spaces around us alter the landscape and daily life? How do they evolve into destinations that offer people new opportunities to have personal experiences and to connect with others?
Landmarks possess expressive qualities. They engage daily with citizens, evoke familiarity, inspire pride and function as living entities fostering a sense of belonging. They act as complex interaction networks in daily life scenes.
The city is not merely a landscape, it’s a living canvas. Spaces are not just points on a map, they are ecosystems full of life, rhythm and human stories. The coastal promenade is not simply a transit route, it’s a stage for personal narratives.

Art discourses with society in an iconic venue
From July 1-20, 2025, the public had the opportunity to admire the photographs in the "Landmarks of Connection" exhibition at the former Public Tobacco Factory in Athens.
Unseen architectural aspects, small details, everyday human moments and innovation coexist harmoniously, creating a distinctive exhibition in an iconic venue. Through these photographs, the The Mall Athens, Golden Hall, Designer Outlet and Mediterranean Cosmos shopping malls, the Flisvos and Agios Kosmas Marinas, and The Ellinikon emerge as integral parts of contemporary urban life and become destinations that provide experiences, conversations and a connection to the future.
The exhibition narrates how LAMDA Development’s spaces transform into modern agoras or places for personal time and collective experiences. Each photograph is a window into a world where the public and private spheres intersect. Where the “we” and the “I” coexist and are transformed.
The DNA of LAMDA Development through the photographic lens
Through 70 photographs, 7 acclaimed photographers offered us their unique visual narratives of LAMDA Development’s spaces. Each photographer was tasked to approach the same subject through different themes unified by keywords reflecting LAMDA’s DNA:
"Future and innovation” – Dionisis Andrianopoulos tried to adopt a new perspective and isolated certain details that could be symbols or concepts, ultimately composing a vision of the future.
"Experience and time” – Yiorgis Yerolymbos made use of the golden and blue hour light, highlighting how LAMDA’s spaces transform from vibrant activity hubs by day to inviting leisure destinations by night.
"Nature and humanity” – Efi Gousi narrated how diverse individuals, each one following their own itinerary, can converge in a common space, how humans and nature can coexist in one building and how sustainability can transform from a trend into an ethos.
"Form and balance” – Pygmalion Karatzas’ shots had a low angle perspective, highlighting the equilibrium between esthetics, functionality, and sustainability.
"Vision and light” – Mariana Bisti captured geometry from above, showcasing light as a central element in urban design.
"Impact and connection” – Nick Kontostavlakis depicted children interacting with the spaces and the freedom they feel within natural environments, spotlighting a deep, often overlooked connection.
"Emotion and transformation” – Ria Mort captured dance figures in minimalistic frames, illustrating connections between light, body, space and emotion, and showed how a place doesn’t erase the history of its location but reinterprets it in contemporary terms.

LAMDA Development: Creating spaces that inspire
Through our projects, we aim to provide a new urban living experience, a universe with endless possibilities for everyone and a new lifestyle approach. This artistic journey through beloved urban destinations allowed us to witness our vision taking shape in practice.
The exhibition’s photographs invited us to reinterpret the simple moments that connect us with others and with our surroundings, offering a fresh perspective on familiar LAMDA destinations, such as the shopping malls, the marinas and The Ellinikon.
Over 1,000 visitors came with us to this visual journey, including distinguished guests at the exhibition opening (available only in Greek), such as the President of the Hellenic Parliament Mr. Nikitas Kaklamanis, the Deputy Governor of the Attica Region Ms. Christina Kefalogianni and notable figures from the arts, culture, academia, business, and media.
For us, the "Landmarks of connection" exhibition is not merely an artistic statement. It is an invitation to start perceiving the city in a different way.
