Multiplying the good with everything we do
At LAMDA Development, corporate social responsibility means action, creation, inclusion and quality of life. This is why we have designed a well-rounded corporate social responsibility program, centered around two core pillars: society and the environment. Our philosophy is that every small, conscious act we perform today may become the spark for something much bigger tomorrow – because when good is multiplied, it can change the world.
For us, providing opportunities is essential; but standing by the people who need it most is even more important, building bridges of solidarity and value for society.
Nature concerns us all
When nature and the State needed us, we were there. In 2024, following the devastating wildfires in the Municipality of Penteli, which according to the Copernicus Emergency Management Service burned down almost 85,942,000 sq.m of land, we played our part in restoring the natural environment and strengthening safety in the area. Working closely with the municipal authorities, we helped reforest almost 27,000 sq.m of land with slow-burning trees, succeeding in transforming the landscape and effectively creating a firewall. Moreover, we installed air-conditioning units in the Nea Penteli Junior and Senior High School, as well as protective railing along the Panagouli stream, which had turned into a hazardous and steep spot after the fire.
Whenever conditions are tough due to natural disasters, supporting the next generation becomes imperative. So in 2025, when the strong earthquakes forced the schools to shut down on the islands of Santorini, Amorgos, Ios and Anafi, we undertook the initiative to support students, by offering free subscriptions to the brainy educational platform to help them with their schoolwork.
But our initiatives are not limited to times of emergency. Through our innovative “Urban Green Dots – Making Neighborhoods Greener” social responsibility program, funded exclusively by us, we bring new life to abandoned public green spaces and improve the day-to-day lives of local residents.
Standing by people and society
At LAMDA Development we design innovative urban environments and create communities that prosper together. The Ellinikon, the largest urban regeneration project in Europe, proposes a new way of life in the southern suburbs of Athens. It is not by accident that the first building we delivered with this project was the Care Center for People with Disabilities at Elliniko. Since 2023, this model complex has been providing housing and support to 5 associations for people with disabilities and 300 of our fellow citizens, as proof that true progress for us starts where support turns into strength, empathy becomes action and the future is built with people at its heart.
In the same spirit of social responsibility and in partnership with the “Me Alla Matia” NPO, we created IncluCity4All, an innovative app that will map accessibility points in Attica for people with visual and mobility impairments. The app brings users closer to a city that is open and inclusive. At the same time, working with Liberty Guide Dogs, we adopted a puppy, Lamda, and support her training to turn her into a guide dog for visually impaired people.
For us, care has no age. This is why, for the first time, in partnership with Emfasis Non-Profit, we have launched the “Time Together” program, offering companionship and creative pastime to seniors, mainly from municipalities neighboring The Ellinikon.
Making the citizens of the future
We believe in a society that breaks down stereotypes and embraces diversity. To this end, in partnership with the Hellenic Paralympic Committee and the “Me Alla Matia” NPO, we have been successfully running the “See Life Through Different Eyes” educational program since 2024, with the aim of spreading a message of equality and acceptance in schools.
Moreover, we have launched another educational program, “Smart City Innovators: Smart Cities for a Sustainable Future”, in partnership with the SciCo NPO. The program aims to familiarize students with the concepts of sustainability, innovation and smart cities.
In an effort to showcase Greece’s cultural heritage, as of 2021 we have taken on the publication of the “The Cycle of Museums” series, the special albums that feature well-established as well as lesser-known Greek museums. Our contribution to this valuable book collection is far more than an act of sponsorship; it is a statement that the Ancient Greek civilization is very much alive, illuminating the present and inspiring the future.
