Foundation works at the Riviera Tower have been completed
Foundation works at the Riviera Tower have been completed with the largest continuous concreting process that has ever been carried out in Greece
LAMDA Development, after completing the installation of 111 piles, 1.5 meters in diameter, at a depth of 50 meters, proceeded to the pivotal step for the completion of the foundation of Riviera Tower, the first green, 200-meter and 50-storey high skyscraper in Greece.
The foundation system of Riviera Tower follows the standards of designs and constructions of some of the tallest buildings in the world, such as Burj Khalifa and Petronas Towers.
For the first time in Greece, qualified engineers, technicians and workforce worked in 8-hour shifts, for more than 40 consecutive, uninterrupted hours, completing a unique, pioneering concreting process.
The total concrete required amounted to 7,500 cubic meters, while eight concrete pumps, more than 120 concrete transport vehicles (barrels), that executed over 1000 routes from 5 different concrete plants in Attica, were used. The total iron reinforcement amounted to 1,760 tons.
According to the construction schedule of the Riviera Tower, the concreting of the basement and the ground floor slab will follow and will be visible to all from Poseidon Avenue, by the end of the year.
The completion of the largest green, coastal residential tower in the Mediterranean is expected at the beginning of 2026.
Lamda Development would like to thank the Hellenic Police for its vital contribution in facilitating the implementation of the concreting process, by ensuring the smooth traffic flow in the area.
