LAMDA Development Management Team Strengthened George Papageorgiou appointed General Manager Real Estate


As part of its corporate restructuring, the management of LAMDA Development has appointed Mr. George Papageorgiou as LAMDA Development’s General Manager Real Estate. In this position, Mr. Papageorgiou is responsible for the management and coordination of the company’s entire portfolio of real estate investments for the LAMDA Development group of companies.

Mr. Papageorgiou graduated as a civil engineer from the National Technical University of Athens and has acquired many years of experience in the sectors of real estate development and management, as well as in the management of large-scale projects, human resources and financial management. Mr. Papageorgiou has also held senior management positions at AEGEK (Anonymous Company of General Constructions and Maritime, Tourist, Agricultural and Forestal Enterprises) and AVAX S.A. General Contractors, where he was also a member of the Board of Directors for 15 years. Furthermore, Mr. Papageorgiou has served as Managing Director for the hotel complex “Astir Palace Vouliagmeni”, Managing Director of PROET (an associate company of J&P AVAX), as well as Vice President of the J&P Development Board of Directors.

The strengthening of LAMDA Development’s management team is part of the company’s general strategy for penetrating even further the sectors of real estate development, infrastructure and innovative and high-quality services, both in Greece and abroad. LAMDA Development is continuing the steady implementation of its €700 million investment programme, part of which has already been successfully completed and the remainder of which will be completed during the two-year period 2004-2005.
