LAMDA Development: Sponsor in the 1st World Championship

Beach Volleyball – UNDER 18

LAMDA Development participates as a sponsor in the 1st World Championship of Beach Volleyball – Under 18 – held in Xylokastro of Korinthia between 28/8 and 1/9/02.

LAMDA Development pays particular attention to sports and recognizes the value of such meetings for the development of the local community. By reason of its activation in Xylokastro through the management of a luxury complex of 200 apartments, LAMDA Development participates actively in the “summer” sport events of the Municipality and supports this valuable effort for the second time in two years. The Municipality has accomplished to make Xylokastro a center of Beach Voleyball Championships and at the same time one of the best tourist resort destination of our country.

In a short statement, the CEO of LAMDA Development Mr. Lambros Anagnostopoulos, among others pointed out: “I would personally like to congratulate Mr. Dimitrios Skouras, the Mayor of Xylokastro, in his recent successful activity to organize important sport meetings, both at European level with the recent games of Beach Soccer and presently at World level with the World Beach Volleyball Championship- Under 18. All of us in LAMDA Development feel proud to participate in such an important sport organization, of particular importance for the city of Xylokastro and we wish the best of luck to the six teams that represent our country.”

The teenagers’ teams of participating countries include many young talented athletes, a lot promising to the sport of Beach Volleyball, thus the meeting is expected to be very interesting. Most of the athletes are already in Xylokastro and are getting prepared intensively for the games.
