The LATSEIO Burn Center
DΙMIOURGIA S.A., a LAMDA Development Group subsidiary managing the construction of the LATSEIO BURN CENTER, has announced that construction of the buildings structural frame is now complete. The subsequent more demanding phase of the project has been awarded to the ATHENA S.A. construction company, which was selected in a competition to carry out the completion of the project.
The Latseio Burn Center, which will be part of the existing Regional Eleusis General Hospital, will be a pioneering care unit in the Southeastern European context, comparable to equivalent burn centers in the USA and very few others found in Western European countries. Its overall floor area will exceed 7,200 square meters, and it will comprise eight autonomous intensive care one-bed suites, 18 intermediate care beds, 8 regular care beds, 2 operating rooms, and a lecture hall linked directly with the operating rooms and the outpatient unit.
The Latseio Burn Center, yet another gift from the Latsis family to the Greek State, will be inaugurated in April 2003. With this gift the Latsis family is turning into action its special interest for the Eleusis and Thriassio Pedio region, contributing in vital fields such as infrastructure development, higher quality of healthcare, and enhancing employment.
The Latseio Burn Center will cost over 17,5 million, including design, building construction, landscaping, general and medical equipment and furnishings.
