Powerful international group of companies seeks contract to construct and manage the Patra-Corinth motorway

The companies HOCHTIEF AG, SKANSKA BOT AB, DRAGADOS CONCESIONES, LAMDA Development S.A. and ATHINA S.A. have announced their collaboration in seeking the contract to construct and manage part of the PATHE motorway and part of the Ionian Highway.

More specifically, this powerful international grouping will bid for the contract for the design, funding, construction, management and maintenance of the section Eleusina-Corinth-Tsakona of the PATHE motorway, and the southern section of the Ionian Highway (Patra-Pyrgos-Tsakona).

The cooperation of the Greek companies LAMDA Development S.A. and ATHINA S.A. with the international giants in motorway construction and management HOCHTIEF AG, SKANSKA BOT AB and DRAGADOS Concesiones will give the consortium an excellent chance of success. The size and international experience of the three big foreign companies provides a guarantee of the successful completion of the demanding motorway projects for which they are bidding.

In the project in question the Greek companies will contribute as follows: ATHINA S.A. will be involved in the construction of the motorway, while LAMDA Development S.A. will be involved in management of the project – an area where the company has a wealth of experience.

The objective of LAMDA Development is to exploit its experience in project management in order to develop and manage motorway service centres in the future project, and also to branch out into the project management of major projects (design, construction, management and operation for profit), where the company has the necessary know-how and experience to succeed.
