ZARA, VILLAGE Cinemas and Supermarket Grand Μasoutis
at the Mediterranean Cosmos Centre


Formal announcement of the co-operation between three leading international and local enterprises and the largest shopping and leisure centre in Northern Greece

Thessaloniki – LAMDA Development and Sonae – Charagionis announced the conclusion of agreements with three leading international and local enterprises that will comprise "anchor” stores for the Mediterranean Cosmos Shopping and Leisure Centre:

Spanish Inditex Group, a global leader in the fashion retail sector, will bring to Mediterranean Cosmos international brand names such as ZARA, Massimo Dutti, Pull and Bear, Bershka, Oysho, Stradivarius and ZARA Home, VILLAGE Roadshow Operations Hellas, which represents the worlds largest movie theatre operator in Greece, Masoutis Group of Companies, a leader in the supermarket sector for Northern Greece, will operate a Grand Masoutis store at the Mediterranean Cosmos Centre.

The three companies expect to attract the interest of residents from Northern Greece as well as Southeastern Europe and, to function as catalysts for the development of commercial traffic, whilst covering three basic consumer needs with their well-known products and services: clothing, entertainment and supermarket products. The above mentioned shop units will cover roughly 30% of the Centre’s GLA (Gross Leasable Area).

Mediterranean Cosmos is the first and largest shopping and leisure Centre in Northern Greece and is being developed in the Municipality of Pylea, offering an exciting blend of retail, leisure and cultural activities to consumers. The Centre is under development by PYLEA S.A. [LAMDA Development (60.1%) and Sonae – Charagionis (39.9%) participation] on a total surface area of 250,000 m2, which belongs to the Ecumenical Patriarchate and is strategically located southeast of Thessaloniki, with easy access from the city centre, the surrounding areas and the Thessaloniki International Airport “Macedonia”.

Mediterranean Cosmos will open its doors to the public in the spring of 2005.
